Get Set To Read Assessments

In addition to educational testing, we are excited to offer a new service, Get Set to Read Assessments. This affordable consultation is designed for younger children ages 4-7, who are at-risk for academic success. While all children are unique, some may not be making enough progress to meet the demands of preschool, kindergarten, or first grade. It is now possible to diagnose reading challenges with a strong degree of accuracy earlier than one might expect. Get Set To Read Assessments help parents determine if their child is progressing enough to meet the demands of kindergarten and first grade, and what intervention strategies may be necessary and effective.

Get Set to Read Assessments include:

• Parent consultation session to obtain insight into the child’s medical history, social-emotional development, talents and challenges.

• One-on-one administration of measures to assess phonological awareness, pre-reading, pre-writing, and visual-motor skills.

• Comprehensive follow-up consultation with parents to better understand their child’s performance, individualized score sheet and customized follow-up suggestions and recommendations.
